THIS IS AN EYE DISEASE WHICH RESULTS FROM PREMATURE BIRTH, AND BEING PUT IN AN INCUBATOR AFTER THE BIRTH TO DEVELOP COMPLETELY. LYN WAS 3 MONTHS PREMATURE AND THE BLINDNESS IS CAUSED FROM THE OXYGEN GIVEN IN THE INCUBATOR AND THE BURNING OUT OF THE OPTIVE NERVES. LYN CONSIDERS THIS A DYNAMITE TESTIMONY, AS SHE WEIGHED IN AT 1 POUND 13 OUNCES AND RECEIVES JOY IN THE TELLING OF THIS BIT OF INFORMATION. LYN COMES FROM CINCINNATI OHIO, BUT ATTENDED SCHOOL AT THE OHIO STATE SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND FOR MOST OF HER LIFE. SHE NOW MAKES HER HOME IN TAMPA FLORIDA, IS A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE FOR VERIZON WIRELESS, AND HAS 2 GOLDEN RETRIEVER DOGS ONE CURRENTLY WORKING AS A GUIDE DOG AND THE OTHER ONE NOW RETIRED AND LIVING THE DOGGY LIFE OF LEISURE AS A MATURE LADY. LYN IS ALSO A SINGER AND HAS WRITTEN SEVERAL CHRISTIAN SONGS, 10 OF WHICH ARE ON HER JESUS IS MY SONG CD. LYN HOPES THAT THIS BOOK, JOY COMES IN THE MORNING WILL BOTH MINISTER TO THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND WILL TEACH THE SIGHTED WORLD A LITTLE ABOUT WHAT BLINDNESS IS ABOUT.

I got the title from the scripture in the Bible that is in Psalms. It says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy Comes In The Morning.Janet Gerard, a blind girl has lost her husband Jerry Webb of 2 years. After finding out about Jerry's death one unexpected morning, Janet discovers thatshe is pregnant with their first child. About 2 months after Jerry's death, Janet meets Mark Gerard, the pastor of the church she has been attending forthe past 2 years. Mark takes an interest in Janet Webb not just because she is blind, but because she is one of his flock at the church, and he sees aspecial need. She and Mark are married after 2 years of dating but meanwhile he sees her through the birth of Margret. Janet encounters many things duringher short marriage to Mark which include flashbacks with Jerry, her best friend divorcing her husband because of an alternate lifestyle, and her mothergetting ill. Though Janet is faced with many trials and not too many blind friends in her circles, she finds that God is ever present, and that though the weeping has seemed like a long time, Joy does come for her.
