The narrator of The Way I Found Her is a teenaged English boy, Lewis. Clever, precocious and full of curiosity, he spends the hot summer of 1994 exploring Paris with a red setter dog, while his mother translates the latest medieval romance by luscious bestselling novelist, Valentina Gavrilovich. Living in Valentina's apartment is magical and Valentina herself gradually casts an emotional spell over Lewis. But this enchanted world is suddenly lost....and Lewis is driven on a terrifying quest.
