I am pleased to offer the First Printing of the First Edition of: "Alone in the Wild Forest" by Isaac Bashevis Singer, with pictures by Margot Zemach. This book was translated from the Yiddish by the Author and Elizabeth Shub. It was published by Farrar, Straus & Giroux, of New York, dated 1971 and as mentioned, the First Printing (so stated). Condition: The book is in very good condition. The dust jacket shows some edge wear, particularly along the top edge and with numerous small tears and chips. The brown cloth hard covers are slightly dust-dulled but almost unbumped and very presentable. Inside, someone has rudely crossed out what must have been a former owner's name but that is the only mark I found in the book. The interior pages and plates are clean and bright and without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
