Marybeth Kravets, M.A., is the chief educational officer for Chicago Scholars, a nonprofit serving underserved students in Chicago, Illinois. She is a past president of both the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC), and has over thirty years’ experience as a high school college counselor. In addition to her work on the K&W Guide, Kravets has authored numerous publications.
Imy F. Wax, M.S., LCPC, CEP is an educational consultant and psychotherapist who works with families to make the best match for children, teens, and adults in traditional and non-traditional settings, including colleges and college alternatives, as well as other post-secondary options. Her practice extends to the U.S. and internationally. Wax is a sought-after speaker to counselor groups, psychological associations, schools, universities, and parent organizations.
