The subject of this book is the regulation of blood pressure by arterial baroreceptors. It will provide a comprehensive survey of the latest researchdevelopments in this field, and also presents the complex interplay of cardiovascular reflexes with hormonal and excretory functions, thus, thro- wing light on several clinical fields dealing with hyperten- sions, congestive heart failure etc. (two chapters deal with these applications).
