Cormac McCarthy is an American novelist, screenwriter, and playwright who has won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and the National Book Critics Circle Award. A number of his works have been adapted into films, including All the Pretty Horses, The Road, and the four-time Academy Award–winning No Country for Old Men.

A well used copy of this 3rd published novel of CM's, in a well preserved clean and bright dust jacket. This copy is in good condition showing mainly some heavy staining to the endpapers, particularly the rear papers; this could be residue from library pockets but the book shows no other markings or stamps consistent with being an ex-lib; the staining could be from something else entirely. The book also shows a slight lean and some fading to the spine lettering; housed in a very good dust jacket that shows some light rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and edges, with a larger chip at the spine foot, and some minor fading to the spine lettering. Overall a collectible and presentable copy with a nice jacket. Not remaindered, not price-clipped; in a protective Mylar cover and will ship securely wrapped in a sturdy box.
