Synopsis
This atlas seeks to illustrate the effectiveness of high resolution CT scanning in diagnosing lung diseases. The authors present the radiologic manifestations of 50 disease processes, depicting the more unusual disease presentations such as: the very early or acute stages of the disease; atypical disease distributions; and mild and severe forms of a disease. In addition, the spectrum of disease process within the same patient are also highlighted.

High Resolution CT, as a diagnostic modality, has matured and is widely used to diagnose chest disorders/diseases. This atlas illustrates the most common and characteristic features of diseases that affect the airways and pulmonary parenchyma. It provides a pictorial essay of the spectrum of abnormalities that may be seen in any given disease entity. This edition will have almost all new images and there will be expansions of some areas. It accompanies "Webb: High-Resolution CT of the Lung".
