Synopsis
The text presents a comprehensive account of the properties of modern magnetically-soft ferrites, a class of magnetic oxide (ceramic) material which finds a wide application in electronics equipment. The theory and practice of utilizing these ferrites as cores for wound components such as inductors and transformers is illustrated with numerous graphs and tables. All design procedures are supported by worked examples. For this second edition, all chapters have been revised to bring them into line with current practice and to relate them to currently available ferrite materials and cores.
