Dr. J. Dwane Baumgardner, Ph.D. served as the President of Magna Donnelly Corporation (formerly, Donnelly Corporation). from January 2003 to May 2004. Prior to January 2003, Dr. Baumgardner served as Chief Executive Officer of Magna Donnelly Corporation since 1982 and Chairman since 1986. He joined Donnelly Corporation, Holland, Michigan, in 1967 as Manager of Research and Development and later became Vice President of Technology. He served as the President of Scanlon Leadership Network from 1983 to 1985. He served as Chairman and Director of Magna international. He served as Vice Chairman of Magna Donnelly Corporation from January 2003 to May 2004. Dr. Baumgardner has been a Director of Wescast Industries Inc., since 1998 and Magna Donnelly Corporation since 1982. He serves as a Director of Landscape Forms, Inc. and Scanlon Leadership Network. He serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors for the Strive Group. He served as a Director of Walbro Corporation. since 1997. He served as a Director of SL Industries Inc., from 1990 to June 21, 2010. He also serves as the President of the Scanlon Foundation. Dr. Baumgardner holds a B.Sc. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Engineering Optics. Russ Scaffede, an expert on lean manufacturing implementation, is a strong hands-on manufacturing leader who has led successful lean transformations. A former Toyota manufacturing executive and the chief operating architect of the lean transformations at Donnelly Corporation and Tiara Yachts, he is also a past chairman of the Shingo Prize Board of Governors. He is the co-author of The Leadership Roadmap. Russ joined Toyota as General Manager of Powertrain Operations at Georgetown, Kentucky, after almost twenty years with General Motors. He spent the next several years learning from Toyota's most experienced operational leaders and visiting many high performing lean manufacturing sites, as he studied the much admired Toyota Production System (TPS) and developed his understanding of the critical missing process in most lean manufacturing implementations, which is the integration of a truly participative people-based belief system utilizing the tools for continuous improvement.
