David Mauk, Senior Lecturer in English at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, is also author of The Colony that Rose from the Sea: Norwegian Maritime Migration and Community in Brooklyn (Norwegian-American Historical Association; University of Illinois Press, 1997). John Oakland is Senior Lecturer in English at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the author of British Civilization (5th edition, Routledge, 2002) and Contemporary Britain: A Survey with Texts (Routledge, 2001).
