Robert Ash is Chiang Ching-kuo Professor of Taiwan Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Peter Ferdinand is Director of the Centre for Studies in Democratisation at the University of Warwick. Brian Hook is Emeritus Leverhulme Fellow at the Centre for Southeast Asian Studies, University of Hull and Honorary Research Fellow at the Centre of Asian Studies, University of Hong Kong.
