Emphasizing practical examples over theory, Problem Solving in Soil Mechanics stimulates problem-solving learning and facilitates self-teaching. Assuming readers have no prior knowledge of the subject, the author includes necessary basic information to make the book accessible to readers new to the topic. The text contains 116 worked examples with clear and readable explanations related to the standard and modern soil mechanics topics. The author uses a flexible structure that allows the book to be adapted for use in undergraduate courses in soil mechanics and also makes it a valuable resource for the practicing professional engineer.
