Life-Cycle Civil Engineering contains the papers presented at the First International Symposium on Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE’08), held in Villa Monastero, Varenna, Lake Como, Italy, 10-14 June, 2008. The papers deal with the state of the art as well as emerging concepts and innovative applications related to all main aspects of life-cycle civil engineering. Major topics covered include: life-cycle damage processes, life-cycle assessment and design, life-cycle monitoring, maintenance and rehabilitation, life-cycle performance of special structures, life-cycle cost of structures and infrastructures, and life-cycle oriented computational tools.
