German by F.W.Schiller to introduce these concepts of `school riding' into the English language. TEXT illus. by both b/w photos and b/w drawings - these later often have horse to rider `seat' angles shown. Three chapter headings, for flavour are : How Does the Rider Learn to School a Horse,Turns in Place, and Schooling Over Jumps. Some subjects discussed incl. : the canter on, swimming, collection and erection, & short about-turn. Cond : Boards are reddy orange w/ black lettering on spine only. D.J. is white with orangey-red lettering. Front cover photo (full-page) is of Nelson Pessoa on Gran Geste. Volume is square and sound in all aspects. Tight in binding, no marks, tears, names, nor creases. D.J. is very lightly frayed at top, not price-clipped.Small closed tearat spine.Both SPINES fine. Not faded. Light stain on leading page edges. Almost giftable !!
