Sara Stamey—award-winning novelist, independent editor, and senior instructor of creative writing at Western Washington University—has returned to her Pacific Northwest roots after years of wanderlust. Her journeys include treasure hunting and teaching scuba in the Caribbean and Honduran islands; backpacking Greece, South America, New Zealand, and the Northwest; operating a nuclear reactor at Hanford; and owning a farm in Southern Chile. Now resettled in Bellingham, WA, she shares her Squalicum Creek backyard with wild creatures and her cats, dog, and very tall husband Thor.
