Synopsis

A comprehensive scholarly guide to church law, with detailed commentary on persons and related topics. This edition presents a methodical look at the Canon Law text as it applies to personae, including how different legal categories interact within the church, up to the date reflected in the volume.

This volume compiles doctrinal notes, definitions, and cross-references found in Book II, focusing on personae, domicile, and related ecclesiastical topics. It provides structured insight into how canon law distinguishes persons, their rights, duties, and the effects of various dispositions across the clerical and religious states.

  • Clear explanations of legal concepts around personal status and related offices within the ecclesiastical hierarchy.

  • Systematic organization of canons and commentaries to help quick reference and study.

  • Context for how terms like domicile, kinship, and jurisdiction influence canonical practice.

  • Editorial methodology that supports deeper study of ecclesiastical law and its applications.

Ideal for readers of ecclesiastical law, canon law scholars, clerics, and students seeking a detailed, reference-ready guide to the book’s treatment of personae and authentic declarations up to mid-1921.
