Excerpt from World Brain
In a world of ?uctuating and generally expanding communities and ranges of reaction, the science of constructive sociology seeks to detect and give defini tion to the trends and requirements of man's social circumstances and to study the possibilities and meth ods of adapting the natural man to them. It is the science of current adaptations. It has therefore two reciprocal aspects; on the one hand it has to deal with social organizations, laws, customs and regulations, which may either be actually operative or merely projected and potential, and on the other hand it has to examine the education these real or proposed social organizations require. These two aspects are inseparable, they need to fit like hand and glove. Plans and theories of social structure and plans and theories of education are the outer and inner aspects of the same thing. Each necessitates the other. Every social order must have its own distinctive process of education.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the realm of constructive sociology, exploring the intricate relationship between human societies and their ever-evolving environments. The author argues that humanity's rapid social and technological advancements have outpaced our capacity for adaptation, leading to a disconnect between knowledge and action. Positioned at the intersection of history, social psychology, and ecology, this work examines the challenges and opportunities presented by our interconnected world. The author contends that traditional educational and political institutions have failed to keep pace with the changing needs of society, resulting in a fragmented and ineffective approach to global issues. The book proposes a bold solution: the creation of a "World Brain" ââ â a unified and accessible repository of knowledge that would bridge the gap between specialized expertise and public understanding. This ambitious vision calls for a collaborative effort involving universities, research institutions, and individuals worldwide to synthesize and disseminate information in a comprehensive and readily available format. The author emphasizes the urgency of this endeavor, highlighting the potential consequences of our current state of intellectual disarray. Ultimately, this book challenges us to rethink the role of knowledge in shaping our collective future and offers a compelling vision for harnessing the power of information to create a more just and sustainable world.
