Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good Plus. First Printing, Second Edition. One of Upfield's classic mystery-crime novels featuring his legendary half-aborigine police detective, Napoleon Bonaparte, who steps alive through the Australian outback in the pages of Upfield's mysteries. In this re-issue of the 1956 edition, Bonaparte investigates the death of a famous meteorologist due to alcoholic delerium tremens, according to the doctor. But Bony knows better. Text's top and fore edge show soiling, o/w text and boards are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket is basically whole, though sunned and age-tanned along the edges and the spine, with a one-inch tear on the lower end of the fold between the back panel and flap and a couple of smaller tears on the edges as well as some light creasing. That noted, it should also be noted that, with the exception of the sunning and age-tanning, the dj has no significant flaws and has done a good job of protecting the book. This is a solid copy of a hard-to-find title. N° de réf. du vendeur 004727
