Synopsis

The ADDING AND SUBTRACTING book focuses on young children's counting, addition and subtraction skills in a variety of situations. Through rhymes, games and practical activities children will develop skills in counting one, then two more or less; combining two groups of objects and counting to find the total; taking objects away and counting how many are left and early work with double numbers to five. The activities include counting frogs, threading beads and taking slices of pizza. There is a gradual progression of difficulty throughout the book.
