Each book in the series provides easy, quick and lively ideas for classroom activites in a simple and clear format. SUPPLY TEACHING KS2 is designed specifically for supply teachers or anyone who has to take over a class at a minute's notice. It is divided into three main sections. The first section provides a selection of instant ideas which can be used as a way of getting to know the class quickly, to consolidate work previously done, as well as being a useful resource for the experienced teacher who is given unplanned and unexpected time with the class. The second section contains a number of two-day themes aimed at the supply teacher who has been asked to cover a class in an emergency and where specific programmes are not available. The themes are broad-based, each being complete in itself but having links with all the work undertaken in the two days. The themes can be adapted for a shorter time or expanded to cover a longer time. The third section provides five themes, each with a specific bias towards English, maths, science, history, geography. These themes can be used to cover a longer period of supply teaching-such as five days.
