His dog, Baxter, can't come to school. Barnaby's parents can't come to school, either. This is one adventure he'll have to face on his own.

Or will he? When the first day of school arrives, Barnaby finds that a loving note from home gives him all the courage he needs, and he reaches out to make a few friend. Together they overcome their first day jitters and have a great time at school.
