From his very first appearance way back in February 1973, Hagar the Horrible proved to be phenomenally popular among readers and newspaper comic strip editors alike, along the way becoming the fastest growing syndicated newspaper comic strip ever. Dik Browne based the look and characters on his family and friends and after his death his son, Chris Browne took over the strip.
This eighth volume in the series, collects together all the daily strips from Jan 1983- December 1984, as our hirsute, rotund hero continues his never-ending quest to eat, drink and be as merry as possible. As always he's aided and abetted by his crew of odd-balls and misfits, his sidekick, Lucky Eddie and of course his forever long suffering wife Helga and family!

Of course Lucky Eddie accompanies him EVERYWHERE. Helga his wife pushes him to bring home Danish Modern furniture. His son Hamlet cuts the attacking Huns down to size. His daughter Honi loks wistful. The lead story is about a fierce SWAMP beast that Hagar agrees to destroy - he does but there is a backlash. 4 other stories. Cond : Paper wrapper is white with red or black lettering. Front COVER graphic is Hagar standing on a burning bridge holding off the advancing horde. Fore corners all sli. soft. CLEAN. Some edges crinkles. Spine fine, colours bright, binding tight.
