This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.
From ERBville Press: The adventures of Billy Byrne, thug and guman, in the underworld of Chicago and San Francisco, and on his mysterious cruise to the unexplored islands of the Pacific, make a yarn as strange and as vivid as even the famous Tarzan tales. A woman--"one o' them high-brow skirts"--taught Billy the real meaning of the word "coward". And the most astonishing thing in the book is the development of character of these two whom fate threw together in the strangest of circumstances.

Mass Market Paperback. Etat : Near Fine. Frank Frazetta (illustrateur). 1st printing. Solid, square, GORGEOUS COVER with wraparound Frazetta art. Inevitably age-toned pages, but very light. In a protective archival bag! When this book arrives, you'll be so excited you'll feel as though you're rocketing beyond the farthest star, tunneling to the Earth's Core with Innes and Perry, galloping on thoat-back across the lichen-covered sea bottoms of Barsoom with the Warlord of Mars, or swinging through the upper canopies like the Lord of the Jungle - you MAY even scream Kreegah! with glee! NOTE: One flaw - appr. one million years ago, when the book was young, someone opened it casually and created a stress mark right in the center of the spine, so there IS a fine line visible. Not cracked, the book was definitely never read, but a spidery-thin line is there. N° de réf. du vendeur 040291
