Synopsis
This is an original and successful text which provides a series of tutorials in the problem-based approach to clinical medicine, as against the more common disease-based emphasis of most textbooks. It covers a full range of signs and symptoms as they are encountered in clinical practice and discusses them with the emphasis on those which are crucial in the differential diagnosis of the patient. Professor Souhami is one of our most influential authors and is editor of Textbook of Medicine as well as other books in oncology.
Dr Beck is a retired physician and very involved with the Royal College of Physicians. He was until recently Chairman of the Part 2 Board of the MRCP(UK).
Dr Hanna and Dr Holdright are new authors.
