Synopsis

This Fourth Edition has been fully updated in both content and approach to avoid overburdening the student with large amounts of non-essential information. The contents have been considerably restructured to bring the book more into line with current surgical practice. Comprehensively illustrated with over 500 drawings and photographs. Summary boxes are included throughout the text to aid revision. Paediatric surgical issues are highlighted wherever relevant.

James Garden is the series editor to the Companion to Specialist Surgical Practice series of seven volumes for Saunders. He is the author of Colour Atlasof Surgical Diagnosis (Mosby) and is a contributor to the current Third Edition of Principles & Practice of Surgery.

Andrew Bradbury is also a contributor to Macleod's Clinical Examination 10E. Other writing interests as yet unknown.

John Forsythe is the author of the Transplantation volume in the Companion to Specialist Surgical Practice series.
