Piergiorgio Solli, MD PhD has vast experience with chest trauma as Head of Thoracic Surgery at the National Trauma Center Hospital, Bologna, Italy. He received his medical degree from the University of Parma, Italy, followed by General and Thoracic Surgery residencies and a PhD in Cardio-thoracic Surgery from the University of Modena, Italy. He pursued Thoracic Surgery Fellowships at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK, and the Hôpital Pasteur CHU Nice, France.
He was a Staff Surgeon at the National Cancer Center in Milan, Italy, and a Consultant with the European Institute of Oncology. He was appointed Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK in 2014, and Chief Thoracic Surgeon Consultant at ASL Romagna, Italy in 2016.
