hardcover. Etat : Very Good. 1984 signed and inscribed first edition, association copy (1977 Nobel winner Roger Guillemin), Elsevier (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), 6 3/4 x 9 3/4 inches tall blue hardcover, black lettering to front cover and spine, index, xviii, 235 pp. Laid in is a slip reading, 'From the Private Collection of Dr. Roger and Lucienne Guillemin, Nobel Laureate, 1977, Salk Institute, La Jolla, CA.' Roger Charles Louis Guillemin (1924-2024) was a French-American neuroscientist who received the National Medal of Science in 1976, and the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1977 for his work on neurohormones. Very slight soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers. On the blank front free-endpaper, nicely inscribed and signed by the author to Guillemin, widely considered the 'father of neuroendocrinology.' Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked. ~SP19~ [2.0P] A unique contribution to the methodological problems associated with the measurement of neuropeptides in a biological matrix and should be unquestionably useful to scientists interested in this topic, as well as in a good reference framework for planning advanced research in neuropeptide isolation and identification. Reprinted by Elsevier without edits in 2000. N° de réf. du vendeur SP19-0352-14832
