Synopsis

The papers in this volume are devoted to topics such as: electrochemical methods of energy conversion and storage in fuel cells, batteries and electrolysers, the role of chemical processes in fossil fuel conversion, methods of energy regeneration and saving, solar and other renewable energy applications, chemical processes for advanced energy conversion concepts, as well as chemical problems in environment protection linked with energy. Contributions on more general topics concerned with energy problems which can be solved by chemical methods are also included. It is planned to establish a permanent series of Workshops with biannual meetings. The main aim of these workshops will be to discuss and formulate recommendations for the most important directions of research work in chemical problems of energy, to provide information exchange and to help with the organization of training and education.
