Synopsis
The physical planning, financing, economics, marketing and environmental issues of Wind Energy are reviewed in detail in this two-part proceedings. Part I of the Conference contains all the papers presented in the specialist parallel sessions. Part II contains: all invited lectures; all reports presented by special reporters on parallel sessions; plus a summary of discussions on the papers contained in Part 1. The technology is maturing, wind turbines are being produced in greater numbers and experience of wind plant operation is growing. As solutions are found to the early technology problems, other issues, equally important for the widespread implementation of wind power, are coming to light. Both volumes will prove an indispensable reference source for all those interested in the latest technical progress in this field, as well as initiating and guiding future research activities.
