Lama is the fifth title in the Minack Chronicles, which collectively tell the story of how Derek and Jeannie Tangye left behind their London home to establish a clifftop flower farm on the coast of Cornwall. From inauspicious beginnings, the couple gradually settled in, and the books go on to cover many tales of their beloved animals, including Hubert the gull, Monty the ginger cat, Boris the duck, Penny the donkey and many others.
DEREK TANGYE wrote over 20 books, mainly about his life in Cornwall. There he lived in a simple cottage with his wife Jeannie, surrounded by their favourite animals. In later life they bought the fields beside their cottage, which now form the Minack Chronicles Nature Reserve.
