Morris Hein is professor emeritus of chemistry at Mr. San Antonio College, where he regularly taught the preparatory chemistry course. His name has become synonymous with clarity, meticulous accuracy, and a step-by-step approach that students can follow. Over the years, more than three million students have learned chemistry using the text of Morris Hein. In addition to Foundations of College Chemistry, Tenth Edition, he is co-author of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry, Seventh Edition, and Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry. He is also co-author of Foundations of Chemistry in the Laboratory, Tenth Edition and Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry in the Laboratory, Seventh Edition. Leo R. Best taught chemistry for twenty-four years at Mr. San Antonio College. He has been a collaborator and co-author with Morris Hein since the first edition of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry. He is also co-author of Foundations of Chemistry in the Laboratory and Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry in the Laboratory. Scott Pattison lives in Muncie, Indiana, and is a dedicated teacher of general, organic, and biochemistry at Ball State University. He has been co-author with Morris Hein since the third edition of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry. Susan Arena currently teaches general chemistry and is director of the Merit Program for Emerging Scholars at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is co-author with Morris Hein on foundations of College Chemistry, Tenth Edition, and is also co-author of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry, Seventh Edition, and Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry
