Synopsis
The approximately one-third new material in the sixth edition of "Introduction to Personality", reflected in both content and organization, is in response to the exciting, prolific developments that have occurred in the last decade in personality psychology. Many of these advances in the field directly impact our understanding of the nature of personality. They include discoveries coming from diverse sources: behavior genetics, social evolutionary theory, trait theory and the Big Five, social cognitive theory, cognitive neuroscience, and findings at the interface of personality and social psychology.
