Synopsis
This interactive videodisc program features interviews with over 40 individuals of diverse age and professions, representing a variety of areas of France and the Francophone world. The program also includes literary excerpts and articles from the contemporary French press. The software interface allows students to interact with those interviewed and with the texts. By focusing on the values underlying culture, Dialogues not only offers American students a valid picture of French values and ideas, but also provides thought-provoking content that will lead them to make cross-cultural comparisons and influence them to examine their own beliefs and attitudes.
