David Soskin is one of the UK's most experienced and respected internet executives.
For eight years, until 2008, he was CEO of Cheapflights. In this time he grew it from an attic-based operation into an award-winning international leader in the travel industry, with 8.4 million unique users worldwide.
Under Soskin's leadership Cheapflights was included in the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track of the UK's 100 fastest growing technology companies for five years running. Hitwise has described it as 'the UK's favourite travel price comparison site'. In addition, with Cheapflights.com, Cheapflights has been one of the only UK internet companies to expand successfully in the US.?Soskin now serves as a Non-Executive Director.
Since leaving Cheapflights, Soskin has co-founded HOWZAT Media, a global internet investment fund. He is also Vice-Chairman of MySupermarket.co.uk and Executive Chairman of SwapitShop.com, both of which are backed by Greylock (the venture capital firm which provided funding for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Digg).
Before working in internet entrepreneurship, David was Head of Global Media at ABN AMRO. He holds a first-class honours degree from Oxford and an MBA from Harvard.
