Michael G. Cochrane, LL.B. (Toronto, Ontario), has been practicing law in Ontario for over twenty years and is currently a lawyer with the firm Ricketts, Harris. As a senior policy lawyer with the Ontario Attorney General, he was involved with the reform of Ontario′s family laws. He has appeared as a legal expert on the Dini Petty Show, Jane Hawtin Live, ROBTV, Goldhawk Live, CBC′s Counterspin, TVO, and Real Life. He is also the author of Surviving Your Parents′ Divorce: A Guide for Young Canadians (Wiley: 0–471–64398–X), and For Better or for Worse: The Canadian Guide to Marriage Contracts and Cohabitation Agreements (Wiley: 0–471–64206–1). He is also Co–Editor of the National Annual Review on Civil Litigation.
