Synopsis
"International Architecture Centres" ist das erste umfassende Verzeichnis über Architekturzentren in aller Welt.
Es entstand im Anschluss an die Konferenz "Value of Architecture Centres", die im Juni 2002 in Großbritannien stattfand.
Das öffentliche Interesse an Architektur hat in den letzten Jahren deutlich zugenommen.
Dieses Interesse hat, zusammen mit sozialen Entwicklungen, verstärkter Demokratisierung, und Einbeziehung der Öffentlichkeit zur Entwicklung von Architekturzentren in aller Welt geführt.
Die Ausrichtung dieser Zentren ist zwar unterschiedlich, doch alle verbindet ein gemeinsames Ziel: Das Vermitteln von Informationen zur Architektur für jedermann.
