The fourth edition of Human Resource Management has been thoroughly revised and updated to reflect current issues and practice in HRM.
A continuing emphasis is placed on HRM practice in the Asia?Pacific Rim as is the importance of strategy and managing diversity in human resource management.
In line with current teaching, international HRM has been expanded in this edition. It now comprises two chapters; one dealing with issues of managing international HRM; including cross–cultural issues and HRM practices in China and Japan, the other focusing on managing international assignments.
Experiential material has been expanded with the inclusion of seven new comprehensive case studies. A new feature is the Letter to the Editor, a deliberately provocative piece positing a single viewpoint and which is tied to student exercises. The chapter terms to know, case studies, ethical dilemmas, soapboxes, review questions, and practical exercises have been updated and expanded where necessary.
