He is the author of ten highly acclaimed books, including The Complete Idiot's Guide to Jewish History and Culture as well as Understanding Judaism: The Basics of Deed and Creed. A recipient of the American Educator of the Year Award, he is an associate professor of Talmud at Yeshiva University and was recently ranked #16 in a national poll of the 50 most influential Jews in America.
