À propos de l?auteur
J. Carlos Santamarina is a Civil and Environmental Engineering professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. He also taught at NYU-Polytechnic University and at the University of Waterloo. He has authored two books and more than 200 publications.
Katherine A. Klein is affiliated with the University of Toronto in Canada.

These two units include laboratory techniques to measure the elastic and electromagnetic spectral response of particulate materials, and an extensive compilation of experimental data. Finally, the fifth part applies elastic and electromagnetic waves to monitoring process in soils.
