Designed to help managers master the art and science of leadership, this text supplies a four-part framework for leadership - the leader as director; the leader as problem solver; the leader as developer; the leader as delegator - to increase leadership skills. The framework, called the L4 system, teaches managers how to lead others in a way that maximizes results. The L4 system is based on research from hundreds of seminars. Although aimed at managers seeking to develop their skills, the book is also suitable for use in seminars as part of a training package.

The Leader′s Window "The Leader′s Window takes situational leadership to the next level. It has a strong foundation in research, and the examples give rich leadership profiles and provide real depth based on hands–on experience." –Matthew Minahan Manager of Organizational Development World Bank "As a former McKinsey & Company partner, I know that leadership is one of the great black holes of management. What separates The Leader′s Window from the pack is its riveting practicality. Here is an approach that will unleash the potential of every individual and team from the boardroom to the plant floor." –Alan Gayer Chief Executive Officer Egleston Children′s Hospital "The concepts covered in The Leader′s Window have been invaluable in our work with our clients as they move toward mature high–performance teams.
