Synopsis

Offering a hands-on approach covering approximately 100 automotive service tasks, this revised edition covers the latest developments in automobile technology, such as electronic ignition, front wheel drive, MacPheson strut suspension, disk brakes, and on-board computers. It includes the most commonly performed routine service jobs: lubes, brake adjustments, minor electrical service, changing spark plugs, and emmisions system inspection. Each job is accompanied by objectives, a performance outline (procedures), and the information needed to understand and perform the procedure, and then ends with a multiple-choice quiz prepared in the style of the ASE examinations.
