Ms. Land serves as a member of the IEEE Computer Society (CS) Board of Governors, Chair of IEEE CS Standards Advisory Board, IEEE Software and Systems Engineering Standards Executive Committee, Editorial Board for the IEEE Software Engineering online publication, and IEEE CS Professional Practices Committee. She is also a member of the development team of the Strawman and Trial versions of the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge and is an IEEE-Certified Software Development Professional.
