Dr. JOSEPH MITOLA III is a Consulting Scientist with The MITRECorporation. A pioneer in telecommunications, Dr. Mitola publishedthe first paper on software radios in 1992 and continues to writeand teach extensively on this technology. His current researchinterests center on enhancing the computational intelligence ofsoftware radios to develop cognitive radios.
