Volume one covers theory and methods; basic visual processes; auditory, kinesthetic, cutaneous, and vestibular senses; and space and motion perception. Volume two treats information processing, perceptual organization and cognition, and human performance. Organized to facilitate reference usefulness, these volumes provide substantial cross-referencing and extensive use of illustrations. In addition, a substantial amount of tutorial material is provided, with several hundred pages devoted to the elucidation of the conceptual and methodological underpinnings of the more substantive chapters. Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. A very good+ copy of the complete two-volume set (lacking dust-jackets: perhaps as issued). The texts of both volumes are wholly unmarked, pristine, and the red cloth bindings with gilt lettering are astonishingly bright and fresh in appearance. A miniscule area of the front cover of volume I shows the trace of a scratch, but this in entirely unobtrusive. Volume I also has a small stain on a part of the page edge, margin side, though this is in no way visible when the book is open. A brilliant copy of this scarce, two-volume set.
