Synopsis
This new edition of the text presents the basics of preparing architectural details - enlarged drawings of specific architectural assemblies such as doors, windows, stairs, walls and roofs. The ability to evolve a detail, either for the architect or the technician, is critical to the professional capacity in order to communicate graphically. The text presents a simple, clear, step-by-step review of detailing, emphasizing professionalism and current practice. Two chapters have been added to the second edition: applique film, scissor drafting and splicing and computer aided drafting. Each chapter begins with specific learning objectives and ends with review questions, and is illustrated with over 600 architectural drawings.
