Synopsis
This volume has been written for a wide audience of clinicians and scientists in the professions allied to medicine, and describes how mathematics is used as a tool in medicine by illustration with examples from this field. It is a two-part work. The first part covers statistical and analytical techniques which have found broad application to medical problems. This, the second part, covers material within a framework of some of the clinical specialities where mathematical approaches are making a contribution.
