Synopsis

To use an instrument safely, properly and to best effect, the analyst needs to have an understanding of the basic principles of instrumentation science and technology. Instrumentation does not seek to provide a comprehensive catalogue of different chemical instruments but to introduce the fundamental concepts common to many instruments.
