Synopsis
This manual describes the physical and chemical laboratory methods used in analyzing the sediments from the quaternary, the most recent geological period. Case studies are included and there are explanations of the different methods used, the equipment needed and its use, an evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of each method and notes on how results are obtained and interpreted. The work is designed to be of value both to students undertaking research for the first time or for established researchers.
