Paper covers. Etat : V.g. No Jacket. 1st edition. Little used. Owner's signature. The authors were biochemists. An unusual book for a travel guide, as it focuses on places associated with distinguished scientists and their places of work (and occasionally birth, for overseas explorers). A little hard to use; the maps are towards the end and there are indexes to Places, People and Subjects, but the section for London is so extensive that it is easier to use the name or the map location as a finding aid. I confess that despite being familiar with the history of Kew Gardens I had no idea that Kew Palace was once the residence of Molyneux, the famous astronomer. An interesting book, worthy of being updated. Weight: 1 Language: English. N° de réf. du vendeur 23442
