Hardcover. Etat : As New. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. 1st Edition. A very clean copy with a couple of small marks to the jacket. A substantial illustrated survey of the life and work of one of New Zealand's most important studio potters. The book traces Len Castle's development as an artist through more than fifty years of ceramics, with over 170 colour images presenting his work chronologically. It explores his experimentation with clay, glazes and firing techniques, together with the strong influence of New Zealand's volcanic, geothermal and natural landscapes on his distinctive forms and surfaces. Contributions from Castle and other writers provide insight into his working methods, artistic ideas and important place in New Zealand's craft movement. N° de réf. du vendeur 052900
